At the end of 2020, UPC KU Leuven appointed PTA through an Open Call to develop a masterplan 2030–2050 for the hospital campus of the University Psychiatric Hospital in Kortenberg. Following the completion of the masterplan, PTA was subsequently commissioned for the architectural assignment (including the VIPA dossier) for the first construction phase.
Phase 1 includes the following buildings:
The landmark building acts as an accent volume on the site. In combination with a forecourt, it creates a clear entrance to the hospital campus. The logistics hub is located near the access road and the parking area. Various support functions (kitchen, storage, pharmacy, etc.) are organized here around a logistics courtyard. Plot C consists of two “care wings” composed of “basic building blocks” that ensure both programmatic and spatial flexibility. The living groups are designed as “care houses,” each with its own entrance and garden/terrace.
For the preparation of the VIPA dossier, the new GRO healthcare addendum was applied.
Het UPC KU Leuven heeft eind 2020 via een Open Oproep, PTA aangesteld voor het opmaken van een masterplan 2030-2050 voor de ziekenhuiscampus van het Universitair Psychiatrisch ziekenhuis te Kortenberg. Na afronding van het masterplan volgde de aanstelling voor de architectuuropdracht (inclusief VIPA dossier) voor de eerste bouwfase.
De bouwfase 1 omvat de volgende gebouwen: . Het bakengebouw vormt een accentvolume op de site. Gekoppeld aan een voorplein creërt het een duidelijke toegang tot de ziekenhuiscampus.
. De logistieke hub bevindt zich nabij de toegangsweg en de parking. Hier worden verschillende ondersteunende functies (de keuken, het magazijn, de apotheek, ...) georganiseerd rond een logistieke koer.
. Bouwveld C met 2 ‘zorgarmen’ opgebouwd uit ‘basisbouwstenen’ die zowel programmatorisch als ruimtelijk flexibiliteit garanderen. De leefgroepen worden opgebouwd als zorg‘huizen’ met een eigen voordeur en tuin/terras.
Voor de opmaak van het VIPA dossier werd het nieuwe GRO zorgaddendum gehanteerd.
Le UPC KU Leuven a désigné, fin 2020 via un Appel Ouvert, PTA pour l’élaboration d’un masterplan 2030–2050 pour le campus hospitalier de l’Hôpital Psychiatrique Universitaire de Kortenberg. Après l’achèvement du masterplan, s’en est suivie la désignation pour la mission d’architecture (y compris le dossier VIPA) de la première phase de construction.
La phase de construction 1 comprend les bâtiments suivants :
Le bâtiment signal constitue un volume d’accent sur le site. Associé à un parvis, il crée une entrée claire pour le campus hospitalier. Le pôle logistique se situe à proximité de la voie d’accès et du parking. Différentes fonctions de support (la cuisine, le magasin, la pharmacie, …) y sont organisées autour d’une cour logistique. Le lot C comprend 2 « bras de soins » constitués de « modules de base » garantissant une flexibilité tant programmatique que spatiale. Les unités de vie sont conçues comme des « maisons de soins » avec une entrée propre et un jardin/terrasse.
Pour l’élaboration du dossier VIPA, le nouvel addendum GRO soins a été appliqué.
